Starting with something sweet and relatively simple . Considering the abundance of raspberries this summer at the local farms , I scoured the Net and made this with a bit of tweaking) , It came out well ( Ms. A seems to like it)
- 3 Cups Water
- 1 Cup raspberry
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 4 Lemons squeezed
- 3-4 spoons grated ginger
Boil water , add sugar . Once sugar dissolves add rest of the stuff and let it simmer till it becomes a red saucy liquid with raspberry seeds in it . Cool and store – refrigerate.
Mix some of this with cool water and Lo behold — Pink Lemonade else ice cream topper 🙂
If you have annoyingly picky kids filter out the seeds and ginger shreds. you could add mint or dilute with sprite. I have no idea how long this lasts in the Fridge, 2 Cups of this gets used up pretty fast , I guess when it grows green stuff you toss it.
